The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) on June 05, 2026, issued a circular regarding discontinuation of Physical Submission of Documents/Reports.
The following has been stated:-
•The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) has discontinued the physical submission of compliance documents by registered Industries and Health Care Facilities (HCFs), as these can now be uploaded through the XGN Portal.
•The move aims to promote ease of compliance, administrative efficiency, and paperless governance.
•Documents such as inspection responses, replies to notices, annual returns, environmental statements, audit reports, and other compliance-related reports must be submitted online, with the portal submission date serving as the official record.
•Physical submissions will only be accepted in exceptional cases specifically requested by the Board, while original bank guarantees must continue to be submitted to the Head Office.
•All concerned industries, HCFs, and GPCB offices have been directed to ensure strict compliance with these instructions.
